CONVENTAL LIFE

As a Covenant Community, we encourage people to adopt a community lifestyle to begin with. This means that we go beyond a simple prayer group into more meaningful and fulfilling way of life.  Members who are interested in a committed relationship with God and the community and seeking to discover a closer relationship with God can move into the covenantal stage.

A covenant stage is where there is a higher level of communal bonding among the members which also brings a sense of accountability and responsibility among the members. There are covenantal stages of commitments that The Institute for World Evangelization - ICPE Mission communities follow commonly across all communities. These are with initial few years and eventually a lifetime commitment.

Members can take up their covenants after an initial period of “Come and See” between 6 months to 1 year, where the new member and the community leadership team discerns about their desire for covenant and interest in the initial stage.

Usually Community covenants are made during the community retreat in a solemn mass when the member is ready to move into the covenantal stage.
